Crescent Mounting Strips – Safe and Archival Image Mounting
The transparent mounting strips from Crescent enable professional, safe, and conservation-grade mounting of photographs, graphics, prints, certificates, and artworks. They were specifically developed for image mounting and meet the highest requirements for long-term preservation and presentation of valuable works.
The mounting strips consist of three coordinated layers. The visible transparent layer made from Melinex® meets the requirements of professional museum and archival applications. Beneath this is a layer of cotton paper and an age-resistant adhesive layer.
A particular advantage is that the adhesive does not extend to the edge. This means the image being mounted does not come into direct contact with the adhesive. The work is held securely whilst being protected from potential damage.
The mounting strips can be easily cut to the required length and are suitable for both small photographs and large-format artworks. They are frequently used for mounting on backing boards, museum boards, or passepartouts.
